Yong B. Hwang
Yong Hwang graduated from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea in 1991, earning a Master of Science in Civil Engineering. After becoming a Korean Patent Attorney in 1997, he continued studying Electrical Engineering for 4 Semesters at Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea. After moving to the United States, Yong Hwang earned his Juris Doctor from Franklin Pierce Law Center, NH, in 2003. He is admitted to practice as a United States Patent Attorney before the USPTO since 2007 and is admitted before the New York State (since 2004) and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Bar (since 2003). Yong has extensive experience in preparing and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications mainly in the field of wireless communication including code division multiple access (CDMA), orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), high speed downlink/uplink packet access (HSDPA/HSUPA), HSPA+, 3GPP long term evolution (LTE), multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO), etc. Yong has joined our team in Munich, Germany in 2017 and is your competent contact person for issues related to US patent & trademark practice. He is fluent in his native Korean language, and also speaks English fluently.
