Our annual donation campaign is always a special highlight for us. This is because our employees themselves decide which organization we support each year through a poll. This year, the choice fell on Pflegehof München e.V., whom we were delighted to surprise with a donation of €5000.

The project was proposed by our colleague Sonja Müller, a patent paralegal at 2SPL. In mid-October, Sonja Müller, 2SPL partner Klaus Platzer, and Vanessa Klein, Communications Manager at 2SPL, visited the Pflegehof to hand over the donation in person. On site, we were warmly welcomed by the board members, Ms. Roth and Ms. Ries, who gave us a tour of the residential home.

We were particularly impressed by the dementia shared apartment, which was lovingly designed to offer its residents a true home. Afterwards, Claudia Geschwendtner, head of the so-called Begegnungshof (“Meeting Farm”), introduced us to the chickens, goats, dogs, and horses on the farm. These animals play an important role at Pflegehof. The association focuses on interventions assisted by animals, where the interaction between people and animals, gardening together, and community exchange are central to their concept.

Pflegehof enables people with dementia, care needs, or disabilities to live a dignified life in a familial atmosphere, located right in the heart of Munich. We are grateful to be able to support this valuable work with our donation.
